S.W.A.T.

The mission of the Macomb County S.W.A.T. team is to assist police agencies by offering support in handling armed barricaded suspects, hostage rescues and effecting high-risk search warrants.

The team is specially equipped and trained to respond to these types of critical incidents.

The S.W.A.T. team consists of officers from various departments within the county of Macomb. The team is currently under the command of Captain Richard Kalm. Officers from the Macomb County Sheriff Department, the City of Sterling Heights, the City of Mt. Clemens, the City of New Baltimore, and the Township of Chesterfield comprise the twenty-member team.
