Sheriff’s course targets seniors
Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel and the county’s Sheriff’s Office are
offering a five-week course to provide senior citizens with information about
the department, said Cathy Wilson, a spokeswoman for the county’s Department of
Senior Citizen Services. The program, which will kick off on Sept. 20, also
includes a tour of the Macomb County Jail, Wilson said. Classes will be held
from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays through Oct. 18, she said. Registration is
