Captain Teske is currently the Commander of the Uniform Services Division.
The Uniform Services Division includes the Command Officers and Deputies of the Road Patrol, Community Policing, 911 Communications Center & Dispatchers, Prisoner Transports, Special Events Security, K9 Units, Reserve Officer Units: Aviation, ATV, Bicycle, Marine Safety, Mounted and Motorcycles, Court Security, Traffic Services and Motor Carrier Unit, Marine Patrol Boats, Dive Rescue Team, and Sheriff Sub Stations.

Captain Teske has attended:

He began his career in Law Enforcement in 1981 working as a Park Ranger with the Huron-Clinton Metro Park System at Metro Beach. Prior to that he worked for the Detroit Fire Department Emergency Medical Service as an EMT. He started at the Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer in1982, and was promoted to Deputy Sheriff. In 2001, he was promoted to Captain.

During his career with the Sheriff’s Office, Captain Teske has worked as an Evidence Technician, Traffic & Accident Investigator, Breathalyzer Operator, Marine Patrol Officer, K-9 Dog Handler, Field Training Officer, S.W.A.T. Team Commander, C.O.M.E.T. Surveillance Unit Supervisor, Selective Enforcement Team Unit Commander, Jail Commander, Shift Commander, and the Detective Bureau.
