Lieutenant Taylor is currently the Lieutenant in charge of the
Traffic Division and
S.W.A.T.
The Traffic Division includes the 416 Traffic Grant Officers, Motor Carrier
Unit, Motorcycle Officers, and Special
Events security
The SWAT Team includes officers from several
jurisdictions from within the County as well as the Sheriff’s Office.
He began his career in Law Enforcement in 1979 working as a Corrections Officer
and was promoted to Deputy Sheriff. During his career with the Sheriff’s Office,
Lieutenant Taylor, has worked as an Traffic & Accident Investigator, Narcotics
Officer, Surveillance Officer, Firearms
Instructor, First Aid Trainer, C.O.M.E.T.
Surveillance Unit Supervisor, C.O.M.E.T Narcotics Unit Supervisor,
Jail Commander, Shift Commander, and
the Detective Bureau.
Lieutenant Taylor has attended:
Macomb Community College
(Associates Degree)
