Lt. Elizabeth Darga started at the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office in 1987 as a
Corrections Officer. She just recently completed the
FBI Academy.
She was promoted to Deputy Sheriff in 1991.
During her career with the Sheriff’s Office, Lt. Darga has worked as a Traffic
& Accident Investigator, Evidence Technician, Fire Investigator,
Detective/Team Leader, Macomb Auto
Theft Investigator, and Uniform Services Lieutenant.
Lt. Darga is currently the Lieutenant in charge of the Detective Bureau. This position includes supervising Detectives, Youth Bureau, Computer Crimes, Criminal Jail Investigations, Friend of the Court Investigators, and the Polygraph Operator.
Lt. Darga is also currently the supervisor of the Fire Investigators, Evidence
Technicians and the Evidence Property Room.
Lt. Darga’s educational background consists of:
Wayne State University-Bachelor of Science Degree
Central Michigan University-Master of Science Degree
