Correctional Services

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office offers the following programs:

Work Release: At the order of the court, inmates are allowed to leave the jail to go to work up to 12 hours a day, 6 days a week.
Education Release: At the order of the court, inmates are allowed to leave the jail to go attend high school or college classes.
Work Seek: At the order of the court, inmates are allowed to leave the jail 5 days a week to seek employment.

To qualify for these programs, the inmate must be sentenced on all charges and not have any outstanding warrants.

Prior to going on work release, the inmate's employer will need to fill out a Verification Of Employment Form. You can get it here.
