Inmate Visiting Information
Visiting Information: Visiting is held at the
Main Entrance on Monday,
Tuesday, & Wednesday.
Visiting is held at the West Entrance on Thursday and Sunday.

On an inmate's court date, it is recommended you do not visit until after
5:30PM to allow for the inmate's return to their housing unit.
Visiting is from 1pm to 9pm Sunday thru Thursday
There is no visiting on Fridays or Saturdays.
You must check in before 8:30pm to visit.
There are no visiting sessions between 3:30 and 5:00. This is to allow
for the inmates to be fed dinner and for the Corrections Staff to ensure that
all of the inmates are where they belong.
Inmates that are in any program at the time of the visit will not be called out
of those programs. Please schedule your visits around the inmate's program
schedule.
VISITING GUIDELINES: Inmate's are allowed to receive up to ONE
thirty minute visit each week on their assigned visiting day(s) only. Visiting
day for each inmate is based upon the floor on which they are housed. It is the
INMATE'S responsibility to inform family members if they are moved
to another housing area within the jail.
Please be advised if an inmate is in ANY program (at court, on trustee
assignments, CRP programs, attorney visits, etc.), they are NOT eligible to
receive the visit at that time. Plan on visiting in the evening, or when the
inmate is not in a prior scheduled program or work assignment. On an inmate's
court date, it is recommended you do not visit until after 5:30PM to
allow for the inmate's return to their housing unit.
VISITING HOURS: Sunday - Thursday 1pm - 3:30pm or 5:30 - 8:30pm.
VISITING CHECK-IN: Registration begins at 1pm and visiting groups go in
every half hour, starting at 1:30pm, during designated visiting hours. No
advance reservations permitted. First come, first serve basis only. Registration
is upon arrival for the next available half hour visiting session. There may be
up to four people in each visiting group, but they must all register together.
There is NO visiting any where in the building on Fridays or Saturdays.
VISITOR RESTRICTIONS: Visitors under the age of 17 must be accompanied by
an adult. You must be on the inmate's visiting list to be allowed a
visit. It is the INMATE'S responsibility to complete and turn in the
completed visitor's list to the visiting officer.
Visitors involved in the following will be placed on permanent visiting
restrictions:
- Visitors that create a disturbance or disruption of the visiting process.
- Visitors under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Visitors that refuse to show sufficient identification.
- Visitors that destroy County property.
- Visitors that attempt to smuggle contraband. (drugs, cigarettes, etc.)
Purses (fanny packs), diaper bags, cameras, outerwear (coats/jackets,
sweater-vests), or cell phones will NOT be ALLOWED.
You cannot bring anything to give to the inmate's on your visit.
All letters must be sent through the US Mail.
Make sure you bring a quarter (25 cents) for securing items in the lobby
lockers.
VISITING GUIDELINES: Each inmate is allowed up to one (1) thirty-minute
visit per week. Only one visit may be scheduled per day, although four (4)
visitors are allowed to visit at one time.
VISITOR CHECK-IN ID: Every visitor will be required to show State-issued,
valid proper identification, before being allowed to enter the visiting area.
Examples of proper identification are as follows:
- A valid Drivers License
- State Identification Card ( issued under the authority of the Michigan
State Police)
- Military Identification with Picture
VISITING SCHEDULE: The daily schedule is subject to change.
